We offer different treatment options, depending on the patient’s age and needs. Most patients fit into one of the categories, below. We’ll determine the type of treatment during the initial consultation.
Early Treatment, ages 7-11
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that children be seen for an orthodontic examination by the age of 7.
Braces
If early intervention is not necessary, the best time to consider full orthodontic treatment is usually between the ages of 11 to 15 years old.
Invisalign
If the thought of wearing braces is holding you back from the smile you’ve always wanted, we have good news. Invisalign™ is a state-of-the-art alternative to braces that is virtually undetectable to other people.
Adult Treatment
At FMY Orthodontics, we cater to adult patients with a separate, Adult Orthodontic Clinic in our Jackson office for a more professional environment.
Orthodontic Emergencies
Although there are very few true orthodontic “emergencies,” one of our clinical team members is on call 24/7 just in case.
Brushing and Flossing
Everyone should floss and brush their teeth regularly to keep their teeth and gums healthy. It’s even more critical when you have braces or other appliances in your mouth.
Orthodontic Supplies
Keep your retainer clean and store it safely with Retainer Brite supplies.
